Choose one lot and review period

Keep each lot’s units consistent. Recordkeeping cannot establish physical condition, compatibility, or safety.

Compare additions and recorded use

  1. Choose one lot and a specific review period.
  2. Write down the opening recorded quantity and additions.
  3. List posted use during that period.
  4. Calculate the expected closing quantity.
  5. Compare it with your counted quantity and record a discrepancy without inventing an explanation.

Work through a 220-round example

For 200 opening rounds, 100 added, and 80 recorded as used, the expected closing quantity is 220 rounds.

Investigate the source of a difference

Check duplicate sessions, untracked entries, and an incorrect opening count. Keep the original discrepancy and correction date understandable.
