About these terms

Coldbore is provided by Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti, an individual developer based in Tel Aviv, Israel (“we” or “us”). These terms explain what Coldbore does, what it does not do, and what you can expect from us.

Your license to use Coldbore comes from Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which applies to apps from the App Store. These terms add details specific to Coldbore and sit alongside the Standard EULA. If the two ever conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

What Coldbore is for

Coldbore helps you keep a private record of your firearms and the photos, documents, maintenance, range sessions and ammunition that go with them.

Coldbore is not a legal, compliance, licensing, safety, insurance or valuation service, and nothing in the app is legal or professional advice. It stores the facts and dates you record. It does not decide whether any item, storage arrangement, transfer or activity meets a legal or policy requirement. Check anything important directly with the relevant authority, insurer or professional advisor.

Your records

Your records belong to you. You are responsible for what you enter, for keeping it accurate and lawful, and for keeping copies of anything that matters to you.

Review any export, report or Collection Pack before you share it. A Collection Pack is a dated summary of what you recorded, prepared on your device. It is not proof of ownership, a valuation, confirmation of insurance cover or a legal document, and nobody has independently verified it. Once you share a copy outside Coldbore, the app no longer controls it.

iCloud Backup

iCloud Backup is optional and free. When you turn it on, Coldbore encrypts a copy of your collection on your device and stores it in your own private iCloud storage. It depends on your Apple Account, your available iCloud storage and Apple’s iCloud service, which Apple provides under its own terms.

We do not operate a server, and we cannot see, access or restore your backups for you. Backups run when your device allows, so the latest changes may not be backed up yet. While iCloud Backup is off, new changes are not backed up. If you delete your iCloud backups, or can no longer access your Apple Account, we cannot recover them.

Coldbore Membership

Coldbore Membership is an optional auto-renewing subscription that adds extra features described in the app. Everything else stays free, including your records, iCloud Backup, exports and ordinary reports, and app lock.

  • The price and billing period are shown before you buy. Any free trial or introductory price, and what you pay after it ends, is also shown before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your membership renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your membership at any time in your Apple Account settings. Canceling stops the next renewal, and you keep member features until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Apple handles billing and refunds. To ask for a refund, use Apple’s Report a Problem page.
  • If your membership ends, nothing is deleted. Your records stay in Coldbore, and member features lock again until you rejoin.

Acceptable use

Use Coldbore only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to create false or misleading records, try to get around its security features or App Store purchase controls, or copy, modify or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

Warranty, liability and your rights

Coldbore is provided under the Standard EULA, including its warranty and liability terms, to the extent the law allows. We aim to keep Coldbore accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or available.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Coldbore changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Before a material change takes effect, we will tell you in the app and on this page. If you keep using Coldbore after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can stop using the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Coldbore at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app removes the records stored on your device. Your iCloud backups stay in your iCloud storage until you delete them, so delete them in Coldbore’s iCloud Backup screen first if you no longer want them. A membership keeps renewing until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
