Keep the firearm and count known

Know the session’s firearm and factual round count. A lot reference is separate from a caliber label.

Preserve the untracked source

  1. Review the session’s ammunition choice.
  2. Use the available untracked option when a saved lot cannot be identified.
  3. Record the factual count and any known reference in the notes.
  4. Post after reviewing the entry.
  5. Check the firearm history without assuming a particular lot’s holding changed.

Check the session’s recorded scope

The session should retain the untracked status rather than silently claim a specific lot.

Avoid a double subtraction later

If you later establish the source lot, review the connected records carefully before correcting them. Avoid subtracting the same activity twice.

Keep the connected record.
