How the calculation works

The estimate equals photo count × average photo size plus document count × average document size. Use decimal MB and GB consistently. Counts must be whole numbers; average sizes can have decimals.

What the result does not establish

It excludes records, encryption overhead, retained recovery points, and other iCloud data. Real attachments can differ widely. Inspect actual device and iCloud storage before choosing a plan.
