Decide the needed records and privacy scope. None of these formats replaces the app’s iCloud restore.

Generate and inspect the right copy

  1. Ask what the recipient needs to read or process.
  2. Choose a free export or ordinary report that fits that task.
  3. Review the included fields, notes, and attachments.
  4. Generate the copy and open it yourself.
  5. Share only after checking its contents and destination.

Check the copy’s purpose and scope

The recipient should receive an understandable file with the right scope, rather than your whole collection by default.

Review spreadsheet interpretation

Spreadsheet software can interpret fields differently. Check a CSV after opening it, including currencies and text that looks like a date or number.
