Define the earlier count’s scope

Find the best available earlier record. Historical round counts cannot be verified by the app.

Save the baseline and cutoff

  1. Choose the firearm whose earlier activity you are recording.
  2. Identify the cutoff date for the earlier count.
  3. Use the app’s earlier-round recording option where available.
  4. State the source or uncertainty in the record.
  5. Check that later sessions do not also include the same rounds.

Keep later sessions outside the baseline

The baseline and later posted sessions should have distinct scopes. Their total should not count an earlier session twice.

Carry the estimate’s uncertainty forward

If the old count is an estimate, keep that visible. A precise-looking total does not make an uncertain starting figure exact.

Keep the connected record.
